As emergency coordinators in an industrial plant we realized that the traditional alarm and roll call systems could really benefit from using new technologies. We took the decision to develop a system to aid emergency coordinators without the need to use dedicated hardware, thus simplifying the implementation and reducing the cost.
The application may not be of use in your particular site though, so we recommend that you test it properly before implementation. Also remember that all applications are vulnerable to malfunction and therefore it is required to have additional measures in place for the emergency management.
